Gifts for the visually impaired and computer illiterate!

The Redwood Coast Seniors Inc. is happy to announce that we have received a new, "state of the art computer with all the bells and whistles," including a larger keyboard, scanner, printer, speakers and software for the visually impaired.

Thanks to the Department of Rehabilitation, we are now able to help those of you who would not be able to view a computer screen comfortably. The software included is able to increase the sizes of a page or document you wish to view and will allow you to change colors and or contrast of the document for better viewing. Another benefit to this special software program is the computer's ability to actually read aloud a page or document of your choice. This means you will be able to bring any typed material such as books, prescription information or even a magazine from home and with a little help from one of our computer lab aide we can scan the material and have it ready for your enjoyment.
